Jay Butler

Jay Butler is Managing Director with Seraph, a global operations and strategy consulting firm that leads supply chain improvement, restructuring, and turnaround projects. As a Managing Director, Jay is responsible for operational oversight and client support for active projects worldwide, ensuring success in achieving client goals and objectives. 

Jay has worked in manufacturing, primarily automotive manufacturing, for over 25 years. In addition to his current role with Seraph, Jay has held executive-level roles for Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, and Brose. He has led organizations responsible for quality, operations, human resources, logistics, program management, and design. 

Jay's academic journey is a testament to his commitment to excellence. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA in Leadership and Strategy. His dedication to personal and professional growth is further demonstrated by his certification as a speaker, teacher, and coach with The John Maxwell Team. 

A Tennessee native, Jay has been married to his wife, Nina, for over 30 years. He is the father of three married children and grandpa to one granddaughter. Jay enjoys reading, hiking, cycling, and walking with his wife and their dog, Georgia. Nina and Jay have served in their local church for 20 years in children’s ministry at Hunter Street Baptist Church in Hoover, AL. Jay has also served in youth ministry and teaches weekly in an adult small group.
