Vera & Cicero da Costa

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. (Romans 11:36)

Cicero, a pastor since May 2010, holds a Bachelor's degree in Theology, a Bachelor's degree and a specialisation in Philosophy, and a Master’s degree in Science of Religion.

Vera is a certified Leader and Professional Coach and holds a Bachelor's and Master’s degree in Theology in the field of pastoral care.

We are a couple who loves to serve Christ and we have been focused on ministry work since even before we got married in May 2014.

We understand that our God is the Lord of Missions, and He wants to save people all over the world. This includes Spain, a country in which He has challenged us to serve.

Spain is a country with about 46 million inhabitants. According to statistics, only 1% of the Spanish population declares itself to be an Evangelical Christian; that is, approximately 400,000 people. However, with the help of missionaries from Latin and English-speaking countries, the Evangelical Church in Spain is growing. Together with this missionary force, we are also committed to giving our lives and ministry to the advancement of the kingdom of God in this nation.

We arrived in Spain in December 2017, and throughout 2018, we lived a process of contextualizing to the local culture and learning and improving the language in the city of Alcalá la Real. We have also cooperated with local missionaries Abel and Rafi on a
project to plant a church.

Since January 2019 we have been living in a city called Cabra, located in the province of Cordoba, Andalusia. In this city of about 21k inhabitants, we are acting as missionary pastors of a small congregation. We are seeking to revitalize this church, as well as expanding its range of action in the community in which we are serving.
